The Naval Sea Systems Command has a requirement for approximately 89,000 man-hours of engineering to support the Concept Development phase of the Common Command and Decision (Common C&D) capability with regard to the Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) MK 2 design. Requirement flows to a Common C&D and applicable interface descriptions will be investigated with studies, analysis, and recommendations from the existing SSDS combat system design agent. This requirement will be issued to Raytheon Systems Company, Naval and Maritime Systems of San Diego, California as the sole designer and manufacturer of the SSDS equipment and related software.
