COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF NOVEMBER 19,1999 PSA#2479SP -- MINORITY UNIVERSITY -- SPACE INTERDISCIPLINARY NETWORK (MU-SPIN)
WORKSHOP The Minority University -- Space Interdisciplinary Network
(MU-SPIN) will conduct a one and a half-day workshop for the minority
university community to prepare it for participation in space science
research for new and current space missions. The workshop will be held
on Thursday and Friday, December 9 & 10, 1999 at Morgan State
University in Baltimore, MD. This will be a videoconference workshop
and participants can attend at other locations around the country.

at the workshop on end-to-end space science research, NASA Explorer
Program, and NASA Research Announcement (NRA) and Announcement
Opportunity processes. The workshop will also provide an opportunity
for minority university representatives to network with some members of
the space science community. It is anticipated that a dialog will be
initiated at this workshop that will result in follow-up actions that
could lead to diversity in the Explorer Program and other space
