13 -- DOD LOW-LEVEL RADIOACTIVE WASTE GENERATORS MEETING POC Contracting Officer: Robert Matthys CBD Announcement: DOD Low-Level Radioactive Waste Generators Meeting The DOD Executive Agency for Low-Level Radioactive Waste will hold the tenth annual Waste Generators Meeting in Williamsburg, VA, 7-8 March 2000. The objective of the meeting is to give you the opportunity to meet and hear from management personnel responsible for the Department of Defense (DOD) Radioactive Waste Disposal Program and give you information on a variety of radioactive waste issues. The agenda will focus on the changes affecting current and new disposal site availability, disposal costs, new technologies for waste management, radioactive materials in the public sector and other national issues. There will be a limited amount of display/exhibit space available. We are also soliciting technical presentations from the industry. In the past there have been an average of 100 attendees, 12 exhibitors and 4 technical presentations selected.
