10 -- WEAPONS-VARIABLE POWERED RIFLESCOPE SOL No solicitation DUE 121799 POC Linda White, Contracting Officer, 410-278-2998, FAX: 410-278-2980 The Research, Development & Acquisition Office, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, is seeking to identify potential sources who can provide a low power variable magnification riflescope for use in conjunction with a small arms weapon. It is preferred that the scope provide the weapons operator an enhanced magnification power of 1-3x or 1-4x and be equipped with illuminated reticles when used in conjunction with the weapon system to enhance the operator's ability to effectively engage targets. This notice is not to be considiered a solicitation; no solicitation exists. All responses received by the government by the response deadline will be reviewed to determine what firms have weapon scopes that meet or exceed the foregoing requirement. Interested firms may communicate their interest IN WRITING to Linda White, Contracting Officer, RD&A Office, 314 Johnson Street, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland 21005-5283. Responses shall be submitted in two copies and shall include: (1) a brief descriptionof corporate capability, including past experience with related effort; (2) company name, address, point of contact, phone number, brochures/ literature/specifications of your product and production capability; (3) whether your firm is large, small, or small disadvantaged business; and (4) any other pertinent information.
