AND IRRIGATION SYSTEM AT STATION CHETCO RIVER. Only written requests
for solicitations will be accepted. Furnish all labor material and
equipment necessary for miscellaneous site improvements at Station
Chetco River. Work includes, but is not limited to the following: A)
Replace the existing irrigation lines and sprinkler heads. B) Replace
manual irrigation valves with remote control valves. C) Install new
irrigation system control units. D) Install new chain link fence down
to the riprap. E) Rehab the sewage lift station by replacing the check
valves, gate valves, junction box, submersible pumps, flexible hose,
and float system. Provide temporary bypass sewer service during
construction. Drawings and specifications can be obtained on a first
come first served basis. Requests will be accepted by mail or fax.

SPECIFICATIONS. Estimated Range is $25,000 and $100,000. The
performance period is 60 calendar days after receipt of Notice to
Proceed. The procurement is subject to the Small Business
Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is open to large and small
business participation. The applicable SIC code is 1542. Small business
size standard is $17.0 million. THIS IS AN UNRESTRICTED ACQUISITION
BEING SOLICITED AND ALL RESPONSIBLE SOURCES ARE ENCOURAGED TO RESPOND.

Department of Transportation (DOT Office of Small and Disadvantage
Business Utilization) has programs to assist minority, women owned and
disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working
capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts.
Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at
prime interest rates up to $500,000 per contract to provide accounts
receivable financing. Anticipated bid issue date is 08 December 1999,
