612-725-2189 Provide physician services of qualified Electrophysiology
Cardiologist to and at Minneapolis VA Medical Center (VAMC) estimated
at 8 hours per week. Duties will include invasive electrophysiology
procedures, inpatient and outpatient consultation and coverage in
Dysrhythmia Clinic. Coverage will be required a minimum of 8 hours per
week on Thursdays with additional occasional coverage in the absence
of VAMC staff of 8 hours on Tuesdays for an estimated 12 weeks
throughout the year. Period of contract will be for calendar year 2000
with two (2) options to renew for two (2) additional 12-month periods.
All offers will be referred to a Technical Evaluation Panel for review
based on the following: Professional qualifications, clinical and
consultation skills, availability, past performance and cost.
Solicitations are being requested under Public Law 104-262 The Veterans
Health Care Eligibility Reform Act of 1996 and Title 38 United State
Code Section 8153, with a Commercial Items format of terms, conditions,
and provisions/clauses. This procurement is being conducted under
Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.5 test program;
simplified acquisition procedures apply. VA will conduct the
procurement according to a combination of FAR Part 12, Acquisition of
Commercial Items and Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
