Small Business Sources interested in competing for Official Travel
Service contracts within the continental United States. DoD has
established 18 travel areas with plans to solicit for at least one
small business set-aside within each travel area. It is anticipated
that locations currently served by Small Businesses will be solicited
as small business set-asides. Further information may be found by
selecting the 'Small Business Sources Sought' option or the 'Draft
Solicitation" option on the following Defense Travel System web site
www.dtic.mil/travelink/. At a minimum, information at this site will
include identification of the 18 Travel Areas, the current small
business set-aside locations, the Defense Travel System requirements
identified in the draft solicitation and a Sources Sought
questionnaire. The DoD requests interested Small Business entities
complete the questionnaire on the web site as identified above not
later than 3 December 1999. The draftsolicitation describes the Defense
Travel System (DTS) requirement to provide all personnel, equipment,
tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary
to perform official travel management services for DoD. In order to
perform Official Travel Management Services each Offeror must
electronically link to the Defense Travel System Common User Interface
(CUI) which is described in the draft solicitation. Travel management
services will be provided by area for all authorized official travel
performed by DoD travelers assigned to organizations in their
respective Travel Areas. The Government anticipates awarding a Firm
Fixed Price Requirements type contract(s) for a two year base period
and three, one year option periods. The SIC Code is 4724 with annual
size standard of $1,000,000. Small businesses may submit a proposal for
one or any number of locations identified as small business set-aside

Government. The objective of the DTS is to provide a seamless,
paperless, integrated process that meets the needs of travelers by
providing the full range of travel services at an overall cost savings
to the Government. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS AND NOT A REQUEST
