0001 NSN 2945- -- - P/N: VARIOUS, This is not a rfp, nor is it a
request for proposal submittal, but is a request for contractor input
into a proposed contracting process for 6 separate draft rfps (drfps).
Tinker is planning on soliciting several long term contracts for other
than sole source, pratt whitney, items applicable to the tf33. There
are approximately 30 items which have been grouped into categories or
families. When a family grouping based on parts similarity is used, all
sources approved for one part will be approved for the balance of the
parts in that family with no contractor action required. The families
identified are: compr spacer, compr stator, 16 shroud, fuel nozzle,
turb a/s, and turb shroud (drfp numbers are: f3 4601-00-r-0006, 0007,
0008, 0009, 0010, and 0011, respectively). Contractors are requested to
review drfp that will be issued and make comments, ask questio ns on
this long term contract concept or the drfps. Request contractor state
which family of parts or drfp in which they are interested. ea. Destn:

requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for
award. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further
information on this requirement. The qualification requirements for
this item were established prior to 19 Oct 1984 and the requirements of
FAR 9.202(A) do not apply. These qualification requirements apply to
line item(s) all The approximate issue/response date will be 29 NOV
1999. Written procedure will be used for this solicitation. First
article test required. No telephone requests. Only written or faxed
requests received directly from the requestor are acceptable. All
responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation
which shall be considered. Award will be made only if the offeror, the
product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements
at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The
solicitation identifies the office where additional information can be
obtained concerning qualification requirements as cited in each
individual solicitation. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear
concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal
development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is
not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting
officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements,
and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When
requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to
source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the
evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Interested
