The Kootenai National Forest, Lincoln County, Montana is soliciting offers for full helicopter services for FY 2000 with the option to extend the service period for two additional years. A light helicopter (Forest Service Type III) fully operated by a qualified vertical reference (150' long line) pilot, and a fuel servicing vehicle operated by a properly trained and licensed driver are required. The aircraft must meet FAR Part 135 Standards, have panel mounted GPS and approved VHF-FM airborne transeiver capabilities. The VHF-FM transeiver must be in-flight programmable, have a scan function, be narrow and wide band capable, and must be capable of simultaneously monitoring both main and guard frequencies. A variable capacity collapsible water bucket and long line with remote hook are also required. The helicopter and fuel service vehicle will be based at Libby Airport (S59), Lincoln County, Libby, Montana. Solicitation package is expected to be available on or about February 15, 2000. Estimated start work date is on or about July 1 and will continue through on or about September 15, 2000. Performance period will be not less than 67 days and not more than 84 scheduled days.
