This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement consitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation number N00181-00-Q-Z001 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-37. This requirement is being solicited as unrestricted. SIC 3566 with a size standard of 500 employees applies. Contract line items are as follows: 0001. Flender Gear Box, SVN ratio 81.199:1 with housing out of fabricated steel special double extended input shaft and single extended output shaft as previously designed unit Flender print C SK02198H less coupling. This is a sole source acquisition. Quantity of 1 each to be delivered to FOB destination on or before 22 weeks after the date of the contract. Inspection and acceptance shall be at destination. The clauses at FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Stautes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items apply to this acquisition. FAR 52.212-5 (b)(1), (2), (3), (5), (6), (7), (8), (9), and (16) apply to this solicitation. The clause at DFARS 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. In paragraph (b) of this clause the following clauses are applicable to this requirement DFARS 252.225-7001, 252.225-7012 and 252.247-7024. Offers shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items and the provision at DFARS 252.212-7000, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items with their offer. These are available on website: www.arnet.gov/far. All offerors must be registered in CCR in order to do business with the Government. No other terms and conditions or contract requirements are applicable to this acquisition. The resulting contract is subject to the Defense Priorities and Allocations Systems (DPAS) and is assigned a DO-A30 rating.
