The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, has a requirement for the refurbishment of approximately 150 Heavyweight Torpedo Shapes and associated equipment to include Plastic Media Blast, Surface Repair and Painting. The Shapes consist of Launchable Vehicles (LVs), Fitment Shapes, Training Shapes, Presettable Launchable Vehicles (PLVs) and Dummy Launchable Vehicles (DLVs). The Fitment Shapes and LVs are one piece steel shells approximately 19 feet long and the remaining shapes are made up of aluminum sections, that when assembled are also 19 feet long. PMB operators shall be qualified in Almen Strip Test. The contractor shall deliver the Torpedo Shapes and/or individual components to NUWCDIVNPT locations specified in individual Task Orders. The facility is required to be within 50 miles of NUWCDIVNPT. This procurement shall commence upon date of award and continue for a period of five years. Award will be made on a best value basis. Evaluation factors are technical approach, facility, past performance and price. This contract will be an Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity Contract with Firm Fixed Price provisions and set aside for small business.
