Wellen, Contracting Officer, 618-229-9547, wellend@scott.disa.mil or JoAnn Smith, Communication Specialist, 618-229-9455, smit11j@scott.disa.mil The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization, 2300 East Drive, Scott AFB, IL 62225-5406, is acquiring a leased full time, C-Band, 36 Mhz, protected, Domestic Satellite transponder with a foot print that includes the Continental United States and Guantanamo Bay Naval Base, Cuba. Connectivity is required from the AFRTS Broadcast Center (AFRTS-BC) March Air Reserve Base, Riverside California to the uplink earth station. The uplink facility can be located at the AFRTS-BC or in southern California (south of 35 degrees North Latitude). The signal is a single carrier (MCPC) MPEG-2 digitally compressed video, audio and data signal. The Government intends to host a site survey at the AFRTS-BC facility (Bldg 2730, 1363 Z street, March Air Reserve Base, Riverside, CA) from 1330-1630 PDST on 8 Dec 1999. Requests must be received no later than 10 calendar days from the date the RFP is released. Request for site survey reservations must provide the individual's full name and their company name and position/title. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract for this requirement. The Government will request proposals for a multiyear (5 year base & 5 one-year options) pricing scenario and an annual year (1 year base & 9 one-year options) pricing scenario. The RFP will be posted on the DITCO Home Page on or about 22 Nov 99 on the World Wide Web at http://www.ditco.disa.mil/asp/news.asp under Contracting Opportunities. We will not issue or mail paper copies of the RFP, amendments or other information related to the requirement.
