Y -- NATO: PROVIDE MINI MALL RENOVATION AT AVIANO AIR BASE (PN), ITALY SOL N33191-99-B-2104 DUE 111999 POC Alexis Kemper (202-482-1512) The United States Navy, Naval Facilities Engineering Commmand, Engineering Field Activity Mediterranean issues a Notice of Intent to Bid for a Mini Mall Renovation at Aviano Air Base (PN), Italy. The project involves the following: This project will demolish all interior walls and finishes in the existing Base Exchange building and reconstruct the interior to provide a mini mall, comprised of several retail sales outlets, food concessions (Baskin Robins Ice Cream, Pizza Hut and Subway Sandwich) and other shops. New wall and associated finishes will be constructed and the floor finish changed to porcelain tile throughout most of the facility. Public toilets will be replaced to include provisions for the handicapped. The main entry doors will be changed to sliding doors and a new outdoor garden shop area will be constructed. The fire alarm and sprinkler system shall be extended to provide protection for the entire facility. Most of the food service equipment shall be Government furnished contractor installed. New HVAC equipment will be installed. Other than the garden shop previously mentioned, there will be minimal exterior building changes.
