Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to procure currency
straps and bundle bands for BEP's Fort Worth, TX facility. Straps and
bands must meet the requirements of BEP specification B: PCSB-3 dated
8-20-99. Contract is for one base year with four option years and is a
fixed-price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type contract.
The annual requirements are estimated at 2.3 million straps and 500,000
bands. A solicitation will be issued requesting offers for the
requirement. See solicitation for specifications, evaluation factors
for award, and delivery instructions. Material samples will be
required. Award is anticipated for April 2000. This requirement is a
100% set-aside for small business. The applicable SIC code is 2759 with
a corresponding size standard of 500 employees. All responsible small
businesses may submit a proposal which shall be considered by BEP.
