Jacobs,(760)939-6043 <DESC> The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons
Division, China Lake, CA, intends to procure prototype printed wiring
boards for various development and test programs. The contract will
encompass multiple verbal or Internet product orders over a 2-year
period of performance. Payment will be made via Government Purchase
Card on a monthly basis not to exceed $50,000. Requirements. Using
Government-provided Gerber and drill files, the contractor shall
manufacture printed wiring boards for the NAWCWPNS. Gerber and drill
files will be submitted via electronic mail or modem (direct dial-up
phone line), and the contractor shall be capable of accepting those
files. The contractor shall accept orders either verbally or via
electronic mail, and quotations shall be delivered to NAWCWPNS via
electronic mail or telefax. Prior experience with Government
procurements is desired. Quantity. The contractor shall maintain a
prototype PWB capability to meet NAWCWPNS prototyping needs. The
minimum order quantity order will be one PWB; there shall be no maximum
order quantity limit. Manufacturing. The contractor shall maintain a
capability to produce multi-layer as well as single- and double-sided
PWBs. The range of PWB physical size manufacturing capability shall be
maximized; procurements of very small- and very large-sized PWBs may
be anticipated. Contractor processes shall be capable of employing
mixed component technologies (both surface mount and through-hole). The
contractor shall have the capability to control and verify impedance on
all PWBs. Solder masking and silk screen capability shall be available.
In addition, the contractor shall have the capability to provide net
list and bed of nails testing. Screened-on solder paste capability is
desired. Delivery. The contractor shall provide a PWB turnaround time
of as little as 12 hours with next day delivery of the PWB. Quality
Program. The contractor shall have quality control processes in-place
to maintain product quality. Although not required for every board, the
contractor shall maintain a MIL-PRF-55110 quality program. Pricing.
Pricing shall be via published catalog; a software catalog is
acceptable if the catalog is releasable to NAWCWPNS. The pricing
catalog should be based upon the number of layers, the number of boards
to be produced, and the number of holes per board; a correction factor
addressing delivery schedule should also be included. Other pricing
factors included in the pricing schema should be noted separately. The
anticipated award date is 3 February 2000. The solicitation will be
issued on or about 3 December 1999 and will be available through the
