The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), Advanced Automated Tactical Communications (AATC) Program Office, PMW 179-3 is seeking potential sources to supply the Navy with MINI-DAMA upgrades for the purpose of incorporating Advanced Digital Waveform technology. Potential technical solutions must contain the following critical core functions: 1. Fulfill MIL-STD-188-181B software and equipment (i.e., open architecture). The software shall operate in full compliance with MIL-STD-188-181B. 2. The hardware and software shall be fully capable of being integrated with existing Mini-DAMA architecture, and be totally backward compatible with all existing Mini-DAMA operational functionalities. 3. The contractor shall be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of all MIL-STD-188-181B, -182, and -183 Joint Interoperability Test Command interoperability and other Government laboratory testing requirements. Requirement includes Phase I for Non-Recurring Engineering to test and validate thetechnical approach. After successful completion of Phase I the contractor will enter Phase II to deliver 212 ea. production units. Delivery of the first production unit is required on or before March 2001. Requirement includes a Validation Plan and accompanying test reports, interface control documents, engineering drawings, software documentation, training data, and technical manual/interactive electronic technical manual complete revisions or change pages.
