business, Dec 6, 1999. The U. S. Coast Guard Facilities Design &
Construction Center (FDCC) Pacific is soliciting for an Indefinite
Delivery Contract (IDC) to conduct geotechnical and environmental
engineering studies, investigations, designs and construction support
at Coast Guard facilities located in the western U.S. and Pacific
Islands. Projects may also require the contractor to provide services
in locations other than western U.S. Work tasks include, but are not
limited to: geotechnical engineering, including foundation, waterfront
construction, pile installation and slope analysis, as well as
hazardous/toxic waste and petroleum contamination investigations;
asbestos and lead-based paint surveys; NEPA related environmental
activities such as environmental assessments, archaeological and
biological surveys; topographic, hydrographic, and property surveys.
Estimated individual construction cost of projects range from $100,000
to $8,000,000. Individual contract tasks will not exceed $100,000.
This proposed procurement would result in an IDC to be in effect for a
period of one year with an option for an additional year. One contract
will be issued with a maximum potential value of $750,000 each year,
and a minimum guarantee of $5,000. Documents shall be produced in
formats compatible with AUTOCADD 14 and desktop publishing programs. --
The evaluation criteria, in descending order of importance, are: (1)
Specialized experience of the firm in related work with emphasis in
geotechnical. (2) Capacity and capability of the team to finish the
work on schedule. (3) Project team organization; key personnel roles
and responsibilities and quality control procedures. (4) Professional
qualifications of the firm's staff and consultants to be assigned to
the project related to evaluation, planning, and design services. (5)
Past record of effective performance with the Government and private
clients. (6) Geographic proximity to FDCC Pacific, Seattle, WA. --
Firms desiring consideration must submit SF 254, SF 255 and any
sub-consultants SF 254, including organizational chart of key personnel
to be assigned to this project. Telephone calls are discouraged as no
