The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and other items and services necessary to improve 76 family housing units at Hickam AFB, Phases 5, 5A and 7. Work on this project shall include, but is not limited to demolition work (including asbestos and lead based paint abatement), interior and exterior renovation, replacement of fixtures and accessories, flooring, painting, plumbing, mechanical work, electrical work, fire alarm system, grading, top soil, grassing, roof work and incidental related work at Hickam AFB, Hawaii. The performance period for this project is 700 calendar days. A solicitation will be issued in compliance with Public Law 100-656, Business Opportunity Development Program Act of 1988, establishing a test of unrestricted competition. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 1521. The estimated cost of construction is between $25,000,000 and $100,000,000. This solicitation will be issued on or about 30 November 1999. Closing date for this solicitation will be 30 days after the date of issue. The solicitation package will include 2 sets of drawings of approximately 187 plus sheets with technical provisions of approximately 596 plus pages. THIS SOLICITATION IS PAPERLESS AND WILL BE AVAILABLE VIA THE INTERNET FOR VIEWING AND DOWNLOADING AT www.eps.gov. AMENDMENTS WILL BE PROVIDED ON THE INTERNET ONLY.
