325th Contracting Squadron at Tyndall AFB FL intends to award a
purchase order under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) for the
purchase of a Fire Alarm Communications Console. Equipment will include
labor, installation, training, and associated manuals.. This is a
combined synopsis/ solicitation for commercial items prepared in
accordance with the format in FAR Subparts 12.6 and 13.5, as
supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This
announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being
requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The
solicitation number is F08637-00-T0030 and is issued as a Request for
Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document, incorporated provisions,
and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition
Circular 97-14 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-13. This
solicitation is 100% SET ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS in
accordance with FAR Part 19. The Standard Industrialization Code is
7382, size standard $9 million. The contractor shall provide the
following: LINE ITEM 0001 Fire Alarm Communications Console. (System is
currently installed in a Motorola Centracomm Series II console. We want
a system comparable to Motorola_s Elite upgrade system [or equal])
Requisitioned equipment will need to be compatible with existing radios
and communications equipment. Digital pictures are available of current
setup. Systems currently in use are a Motorola radio patch system; two
(2) phone keypads; a public address system; a Monaco alarm system;
primary and secondary dedicated phone system; Emergency (911) phone
line; two (2) computer system for use with Monaco alarm center and a
standalone system for logging outages. Equipment will include labor,
installation, training, and associated manuals. Please acknowledge all
requirements on quotations. Offerors must provide brochures/literature
of the items being offered along with their quote. The technical
literature submitted or any alternative quotes shall clearly
communicate the offeror_s understanding and compliance with the minimum
requirements as set forth in the specifications. Discussions may or may
not be held; therefore, each offeror_s initial proposal should be
complete and accurate. FOB destination is required by the Government.
FOB point is Tyndall AFB. The required delivery date 30 Jan 2000.
Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, and transporation
necessary to deliver and install the items. Quotes should reference RFQ
No. F08637-00T0030. Offers must be sent in writing to the administrator
