Garrison, (256)842-7406, AMSAM-AC-RD-BC The Government intends to negotiate a sole-source contract with Northrop Grumman Corporation, 935 Explorer Boulevard, Huntsville, AL 35806. The contract will be for the development of an Elliptical Warhead section capable of delivering multiple smart submunitions to a target area as an attachment to a Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) motor. The acquisition will be conducted utilizing Alpha contracting procedures; wherein Government and contractor integrated product teams will work together to concurrently develop/price each element of the statement of work (SOW). It is anticipated that the resultant contract will be cost-plus-fixed-fee, with a basic effort and three one-year options. The anticipated award date is 29 December 1999. See numbered Note 22.
