Fullerton, CA is the original designer and manufacturer of the Firefinder Radar System. They have proprietary knowledge of the Near Field Probe(NFP) test facility. Raytheon is currently on contract (Delivery Order 0006 of Contract DAAB07-96-D-S619) to construct the NFP test facility at Tobyhanna Army Depot (TYAD). Subcontracting opportunities on this procurement are minimal. The NFP is an automated device that measures the signal output from each aperture of the sub array modules in the FIREFINDER antenna. It performs a complete diagnostic on each elements of the antenna including timing, the outgoing signal and incoming signal and the shape of the wave. It ensures that the phase and frequency of each wave conforms to specification so that the radar will accurately track the sources of the enemy fire. This modification to D.O. 006 is for the following: (a) Installation of anechoic material. This effort requires the contractor to procure and install anechoic (radar absorbing) material in the NFP test facility. (b) Deinstallation and installation/integration of usable GFE components from the Sacramento Air Logistics Center, Near Field Probe (NFP) facility into the new NFP facility to be constructed at TYAD. (c) The contractor is responsible for testing and certification of the entire completed NFP facility.
