787-766-5444 Desc: Solicitation No. GS-02P-00-PIC-0001, Furnish all
labor, equipment and supervision for the emergency roof repair at the
U.S. Courthouse, Hato Rey, PR. Contractor must remove and dispose of
existing damaged roof membrane system. Replace with new roof membrane
system and related work which includes and is not limited to
replacement of roof membrane system, repair of damaged lightweight
concrete, fastening system of cap flashing, roof vents, drains and
walking pads. Follow manufacturers instructions. Repair other damaged
spots as per manufacturers instructions. Provide 5 year warranty for
new system and obtain from manufacturer's certificate for remaining
existing system a 5 year warranty. Remove and salvage perimeter cap
flashing. Reinstall cap flashing as instructed. Replace damaged cap
flashing and metal panels. Maintain building water tight at all times.
Provide temporary protection to assure no moisture/water filtration to
courthouse. Perform all work which disrupts the operation of he
Courthouse during prime time (off hours). This includes but is not
limited to work involving noise, fumes, odors etc. No additional time
will be granted to contract. This announcement serves as an amendment
to presolicitation notice dated October 14, 1999 and also as formal
solicitation notice for above referenced project. The new anticipated
solicitation date is now November 5, 1999. The new anticipated due date
is December 6, 1999. The estimated cost range of the project is between
$100,000.00 and $250,000.00. Contractor shall complete work within 60
calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. Requests for
solicitation package will be accepted in writing only. Telephone
requests will not be accepted. IFB will be issued to prime contractors
only, and will be distributed until supplies are exhausted. Packages

subcontractors after issue date. Request for planholders list will be

Opening is scheduled for December 6, 1999 at 1:30PM, room G-30 of the
Federico Degetau Federal Building, 150 Carlos Chardon Ave., Hato Rey,
PR 00918. Bids being mailed or hand delivered prior to this date and
time must be sent to room 210 of the Federico Degetau Federal Building,
150 Carlos Chardon Ave., Hato Rey, PR 00918. This is a 100% Set-Aside
