The Rock Island Arsenal is seeking possible sources of supply and proposals for possible acquisition of a robotic welding equipment to perform the follwing: weld aluminum alloy, .25" thick, channel and tube components into subassemblies, as a minimum, in accordance with AWS D1.2 Drawings for front and rear components are available by calling 309-782-8666. Applicable standards include MIL-STD-100, ANSI Y14.5M-1982, AND ANSI-AWS A2.4. Interested vendors are encouraged to visit the Rock Island Arsenal for information regarding present methods of production and for purposes of developing more efficient methods using alternative technologies. Also, Rock Island Arsenal is seeking information on the availability of new technology. The above information should be at no cost to the government.
