The Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) has an immediate requirement to refurbish an on-air broadcast studio at the Office of Cuba Broadcasting (OCB) headquarters building in Miami, Florida. Work involves the reconfiguration of the existing studio area to serve a new conceptual design which includes a control room, talent studio, and news-reader booth. Contractor shall be required to perform the studio work during times when the adjacent studio is not in use -- which most likely will be during evening hours. Work shall be in strict compliance with all applicable state and local codes and regulations. An on-site pre-proposal meeting is mandatory for all prospective offerors in order to be thoroughly acquainted with the conditions under which the work must be performed. The RFQ is scheduled to be issued during early November 1999, with proposals due 14 calendar days thereafter. The contract performance period is estimated to be 30-days. The estimated cost range for the required reburbishment is between $25,000 and $100,000.
