Service, a Government Corporation, intends to award a contract to a
qualified vendor who can provide lodging, meals, meeting space and
audio/visual equipment for an AmeriCorps VISTA Pre-Service Orientation
and Supervisor's Training. The Pre-Service Orientation and
Supervisor's Training will take place November 8-11, 1999 in the
greater Washington, DC area. The requirements for this event are the
following: Sleeping rooms: 26 doubles November 8-11 (three nights), and
25 singles for November 8-10 (two nights). Meeting Space: November 8:
(1:30pm 6:00pm) one (1) room with round tables of eight for
seventy-five (75) attendees. November 9: (8:00am-6: 00pm) one (1) room
for fifty (50) attendees with round tables of eight and one (1) room
for (25) attendees with round tables of six. November 10: (8:00am-6:
00pm) one (1) room for twenty-five (25) attendees with round tables of
six, (8:00am-12: 00pm) one (1) room for 50 attendees with round tables
of eight, and (8:00am-6: 00pm) one (1) room for ten (10) attendees with
round tables of eight. November 11: (8:00am-12: 00pm) one (1) room for
fifty (50) attendees with round tables of eight. Meals: November 8:
Lunch for 75 attendees from 12:00pm-1: 30pm, dinner for 75 attendees
from 6:00pm-7: 30pm. November 9: Full breakfast for 75 attendees from
7:00am-8: 30am, lunch for 75 attendees from 12:00pm-1: 30pm, dinner for
100 attendees from 6:00pm-7: 30pm. November 10: Full breakfast for 75
attendees from 7:00am-8: 30am, lunch for 75 attendees from 12:00pm-1:
30pm, and dinner for 50 attendees from 6:00pm-7: 30pm. November 11:
Full breakfast for 50 attendees from 7:00am-8: 30am, and carryout or
boxed lunches for 50 attendees from 12:00pm-1: 30pm. Refreshments: To
be served each morning and afternoon of the conference. Refreshments
served during morning break may consist of coffee and tea; afternoon
breaks should include cold drinks and light snacks. Equipment: In
Registration area: Two (2) large, covered tables and two (2) flipcharts
set up in the assigned registration area or outside the main meeting
room beginning at 11:00 am on November 8, 1999, and remaining until
conference conclusion. In meeting rooms, each day: One (1) flip chart
on easel, 1-VCR in each room, and 1-overhead projector/screen. Two
projector screens in main meeting room on November 8. Transportation:
Shuttle service available from National Airport on November 8 and to
National Airport on November 11 for approximately 75 attendees. The
Federal Regulation requires that any hotel/conference space contracted
shall meet and comply with the American Disabilities Act (ADA).
Therefore, the facility must meet ADA accessibility requirements. To be
considered, proposal must include the following information:
(1)-lodging rates for double or single occupancy for each night. (2)
Cost per day for each meal served. (3) Charges for meeting space and
individual items of audio-visual equipment. (4) A description of the
shuttle services available and any cost associated with shuttle
