Provide Architectual -- Engineering Services including all investigations, design surveys, verifications of AS-BUILT conditions, construction drawings, cost estimates, phasing and estimated construction time required for a fully developed set of construction documents for the full renovation of the fourth floor quadrant E, (4E) and basement D (BD) for Prosthetics and Medical Administration space, in accordance with VA design criteria and VA program requirements. Emphasis will be placed on patient environmental comfort, patient privacy, and technological moderization. the renovation will be a total gut and rebuild. The A/E design team will be comprised at a minimum of the srevices of a licensed architect, licensed mechanical/electrical engineer, licensed interior designer, and a telephone/data communications design expert. The A/E will provide the services of a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) to incorporate asbestos abatement plans and specifications into the bid package. The design will includea minimum of two construction phases. The construction budget range for this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. A/E selection will be based upon recent specialized hospital experience, professional capacity to accomplish work timely, professional qualifications of staff and consultants assigned to the contract, past performance on contracts with government agencies and private industry -- in terms of cost control, quality of work, and compliance with performance schedules.
