A -- INTELLIGENCE AND ELECTRONIC WARFARE TACTICAL PROFICIENCY TRAINER Attention is directed to the Sources Sought notice posted in the CBDNet on July 23, 1999, printed on July 27, 1999. The Classification Code read "A-Research and Development-Potential Sources Sought". The subject read "A-WARFIGHTERS' SIMULATION 2000 (WARSIM) INTELLIGENCE AND ELECTRONIC WARFARE TACTICAL PROFICIENCY TRAINER (IEWTPT)". The notice listed the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama as the buying activity. This is notice that the cognizance for the IEWTPT acquisition has been transferred to the Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation Command (STRICOM), Orlando, Florida. Additionally, a draft Statement of Objectives (SOO) is available at the following address: www.stricom.army.mil, select Shortcuts, then Directorate for Acquisition, then STRICOM Business Opportunities (Solicitation), then STRICOM Solicitations and Sources Sought/Market Surveys. Industry is requested to provide comments on the SOO no later than 02 Nov 99. STRICOM is neither negotiating nor calling for proposals during this process. This request for comments does not constitute a commitment on the part of the Government to purchase or acquire services. All responses to this request are voluntary and the Government will not reimburse travel nor response preparation expenses. No future information, except for the Pre-solicitation synopsis, will be posted in the CBD. All solicitation related documents are expected to be posted to the site listed above, including drafts/final copies of such documents as the Operational Requirements Document (ORD), Statement of Objective (SOO), and Request For Proposal (RFP). Draft sections of the request for proposal are expected to be posted in first quarter, Fiscal Year (FY)00.
