The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to issue on a sole-source basis a purchase order under Simplified Acquisition Procedures to National Automobiles Dealers Used Car Guide Company, 8400 Westpark Drive, McLean, VA 22102. SSA requires 3,520 used car evaluation guides (1,760 October 1999 guides and 1,760 April 2000 guides) for establishing the value of resources under the Supplemental Security Income Program. The publication must contain wholesale values of used cars and light trucks; specific values by year, make and model for passenger cars and light trucks as old as 7 model years with values of optional equipment by specific make and model; specific values by year, make and model for passenger cars and light trucks 8 through 17 model years old; all values must be consistent with the used car trade for the geographic area of the using field office, teleservice center and regional office. Immediate delivery is required. The National Automobiles Dealers Used Car Guide Company is the only known source that meets the above requirements and provides timely delivery. This is not a request for quotations or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation, but merely notification of the Government's intent to procure used car evaluation guides from National Automobiles Dealers Used Car Guide Company.
