No. 2006-99 the Naval Air Systems Command announced their intent to
award an Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with
Raytheon Systems Company(RSC) for engineering and manufacturing support
for the development, modification/refinement and integration of the
Joint Standoff Weapon System. This effort was initially estimated at a
total of $25 million over the five years, one base year and four
options years at $5 million each. This effort will now consist of four
years, one base year and three options at $10 million each, for a
total of $40 million. As the designer and developer of the JSOW, RSC is
the only known source with the knowledge, expertise, and facilities
necessary to accomplish this effort. This synopsis is for information
