R -- REMANUFACTURE TONER CARTRIDGES SOL PSMD-99-9-c-03 DUE 101599 POC Helyne Dawson, Contracting Officer, (314) 539-2595(P) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation to be provided. A written solicitation will not be issued and any requests for a solicitation package will not be acknowledged. This synopsis shall serve a Request for Quotations numbered PSMD-99-C-03, which seeks written proposals for the type of services outlined herein. Proposals will be accepted until close of business October 15, 1999. This synopsis and incorporated provisions/clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-13, SIC Code 7378. This acquisition will be processed using the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Proposals received in response to this notice will be considered for award to the responsible offeror submitting the lowest overall cost to the Government. Questions relating to this notice shall be submitted in writing no later than October 8, 1999, and sent by either e-mail (hkd398@stl.rural.usda.gov) or facsimile (314) 539-2480. Answers will be provided, in writing, via e-mail or facsimile before proposals expire. The following provisions/clauses are applicable to this acquisition: FAR 52.204-5, Woman-owned Business (OCT 1995); 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors-Commercial (AUG 1998); 52.212-3, Offerors Representations and Certification-Commercial Items (FEB 1999); 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items (APR 1998); and 52.213-2,Invoice (APR 1994). A completed copy of provision 52.212-3 shall be submitted with proposal to be considered for award. Following are specifications of this acquisition: The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and transportation to pick up empty toner cartridges to be recycled, recycle them, and deliver newly recycled cartridges to Rural Development Warehouse II, 1520 Market Street, St. Louis, MO 63103, on an "as needed" basis. These cartridges consist of the following: HEWLETT PACKARD PRINTERS, II & III (#99295A), 4/4PLUS/5/5N/5M (#92298A), AND 5 Si (#C3909A). (Vendor will be notified when approximately 200 cartridges have accumulated.) The pickup of cartridges shall be within 24-48 hours of the call and will be either replaced with recycled cartridges at the time of pickup or returned within 4-5 working days after the empty cartridges have been picked up.
