The VA Medical Center, Minneapolis, MN intends to solicit a Performance Based Contract to obtain Ground Maintenance Services at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN. This notice constitutes the cancellation of the notice dated April 14, 1999 under RFQ 894-138-99 for Grounds Maintenance and replaces it with this notice. The overall purpose of the Grounds Maintenance Services Contract is to plan, organize, interact, manage, and control those programs and activities required to maintain an acceptable appearance of the cemetery grounds based on predicated economic, ecological and social consequences. The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, professional expertise, attendance at cemetery staff meetings, equipment, products/product lists, materials, and planning tools to include but not inclusive: time lines, bench marking, schedules, grounds maintenance plans, preventive/maintenance schedules, and ADP record keeping, necessary to sufficiently meet the requirements to maintain a healthy, aesthetic grounds appearance to include mowing, trimming, grave maintenance, fertilization, maintaining proper pH levels, aeration, thatching, tree/shrub care, edging, floral pick up, electronic record keeping/reporting, head stone/monument raise, realign, and clean. This Procurement is 100% set-aside for Small Business. A pre-proposal meeting/site walk date is scheduled for October 21, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery conference room. The Solicitation will be available on or about October 15, 1999. RFQ due date is to be determined at a latter date. The period of performance is from March 1, 2000 through October 31, 2000 with four (4) one year (March 1 through October 31) options. Anticipated start date is March 1, 2000.
