The work is situated at New Melones Dam approximately 50 miles east of Stockton, CA in Calaveras County. The principal components of the work under this solicitation consists of repairing cavitation damage to turbine runners. Performance period is 180 days after issuance of Notice to Proceed. The estimated price range of the work is between $100,000 and $500,000. This solicitation is issued subject to availability of funds for FY2000. Award will be made pursuant to the "Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program." Offerors need not be small businesses in order to submit an offer under this program. The solicitation is scheduled to be issued on or about October 14, 1999. A site visit is to be scheduled for approximately the third week of October.
