This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quotations (RFQ) and the solicitation number is RQ8000-99-035. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-11. This is a small business set-aside acquisition. The standard industrial classification code is 5063 and the small business size standard is 100 employees. ITEM 01: Nine sets of Headers with Slide Door Operators and Control box including -- Header up to 9'0" wide, left or right hand electro/mechanical operator, micro processor control box, harness, belts and brackets, breakout switch, on/off/hold open switch, idle pulley, and encorder assembly. ITEM 02: Nine sets of Aluminum Doors and Frames including -- Clear anodize finish, "SX" panel, "O" panel, lockset with interior thumb latch, weather stripping, vinyl glass stops, 4" top and bottom rail, and rollers. ITEM 03: Connection of low voltage wiring to doors, adjustment and fine tuning of operating mechanisms, and installation of processors to validate one year warranty. All prices shall be FOB Destination. National Park Service staff shall incrementally install all components not covered in Item 03 into two buildings within the park due to the need for maintaining building accessibility. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The provision at FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items, is applicable to this acquisition with specific evaluation criteria being (i) technical capability of the items offered, (ii) price. Evaluation factor other than price is equal in relative importance to price.
