COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF SEPTEMBER 24,1999 PSA#2440EXTRACTION PARACHUTE JETTISON SYSTEM The U. S. Army Materiel Command
Acquisition Center, Natick Contracting Division intends to contract for
the U.S. Army Soldier Systems Center on an other than full and open
competition basis for the acquisition of the Extraction Parachute
Jettison System (EPJS) with FXC Corporation, 3410 South Susan Street,
Santa Ana, CA 02704. The EPJS consists of one each Aircraft Control Box
Set and four each Airdrop Load Extraction Devices (each including a
pyrotechnic squib). A refurbishment kit, which includes a squib, will
be ordered for each Airdrop Load Extraction Device as well as Technical
Manuals and spare parts. It is anticipated that the contract will be a
requirements-type contract covering a five-year period to fulfill the
Army's Operational Testing and fielding requirements. The authority
for sole-source procurement is 10 USC 2304 (c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1.
Responsible sources who are interested in this procurement may respond
by providing clear and convincing information that identifies their
ability to provide the requested product. All responses must be in
writing and may be faxed to the U. S. Army Materiel Command Acquisition
