C-9 AIRCRAFT SITE SUPPORT -- SYNOPSIS OF INTENT TO ISSUE A SIX MONTH EXTENSION TO CONTRACT N68520-95-D-0010 WITH RAYTHEON AEROSPACE Special Notice. This is not a RFP. The Government intends to negotiate and issue a sole source modification to extend Contract N00019-95-D-0010 for six (6) months pursuant to FAR Part 6.301-1. The purpose of the modification is to provide inventory management, material replenishment and component repair until completion of a competitive award. The modification will extend the contract for the period of 01 February 2000 through 31 July 2000, at which time a competitive awarded contract will commence. The current contractor is the only source available to provide the required services for a six-month period, due to extensive manning, parts, and short time frame of performance for which the services are required.
