Defense Industrial Association's Ballistics Division invites you to
participate in the 18th International Symposium & Exhibition on
Ballistics that will be held 15-19 November 1999 at the Municipal
Auditorium, San Antonio, Texas. The papers listed for the outstanding
technical program for this International event, were selected by the
Ballistics Division with the cooperation and assistance of the
International Ballistics Committee, which joins us in encouraging your
participation. The technical program provides the basis for a forum in
which researchers, from 27 different countries, can share and exchange
unclassified and unrestricted information in the various fields of
Ballistics, through oral and poster presentations as well as through
commercial exhibits, including ballistics instrumentation. We are
pleased to have the Institute for Advanced Technology, University of
Texas at Austin and Southwest Research Institute serve as local
co-hosts this important International event under the sponsorship of
the National Defense Industrial Association. The objective of the
Symposium is to create a forum where scientists, engineers and other
experts on ballistics can meet, publish their latest unclassified work,
suitable for open publication, and present new materials for
discussion. The Symposium will include oral and poster presentations,
and a concurrent exhibition of ballistics technology. Participants will
be able to make active exchanges on the most recent technological
advances. Presentations will embrace new ballistic and warhead
