Wolfe, Jr., 304/285-5883 The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), in Morgantown, WV has a requirement for design specifications and delivery of Inhalation Exposure Chambers and Accessories. Items to be purchased include 4 EACH, 36 inch cube inhalation chamber with rat cages, mouse cages, rack and pans; 13 EACH, rat cages for Hazelton chambers; 9 EACH, excreta pans for Hazelton chambers; 3 EACH, chamber cage racks for Baker chambers; 9 EACH, mouse exposure cages for Baker chamber; and 9 EACH, rat exposure cages for Baker chamber. The Government will provide Concept Drawings and written specifications for minimum materials and construction methods. All metal parts to be SS 304, minimum #2B finish throughout, unless otherwise specified. Offerors are expected to provide their best design and manufacturing methods, to meet the criteria outlined in the solicitation. The design is required 4 weeks after receipt of order and the chambers are required 4 months after approval of the design. The entire scope of work and evaluation factors are addressed in the solicitation. Solicitation RQ2000-001 will be issued unrestricted on or about October 7, 1999, and proposals will be due o/a October 29, 1999.
