D -- D -- NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE SOLE SOURCE WITH SANSOFT INC 42nd Contracting Squadron (42 CONS) intends to issue a two sole source maintenance agreements for software technical support with Sansoft Inc, under requisition numbers F01600-00-Q0181 and Q0185. Maintenance includes the right to receive and use all updates, enhancements and modifications to the programs licensed which are released by Sansoft. Technical support provides end user developers access to technical support lines. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The software maintenance renewal is for a one-year term from October 1, 1999 through September 30, 2000. This is a FY 2000 year requirement. Place of delivery is Maxwell AFB Gunter Annex, AL, FOB destination. 42 CONS intends to place the renewal order with Sansoft Inc. pursuant to FAR Part 13.106-1(b) which allows for the acquisition of supplies or services determined to be reasonably available from only one source. Interested firms have 5 days from the publication of this combined synopsis/solicitation to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, their qualifications/capabilities and offers. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a cost competitive basis. Responses received after Sep 24 1630 CST or without the required information will be considered non-responsive to the synopsis/solicitation and will not be considered. A determination by 42 CONS to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by 42 CONS.
