PAN 31600-00. It is the Government's intent to increase option year FY 2000 by one manyear for additional hours of system integration Analyst support, under the current High Performance Scientific Computer (HPSC), Contract Number DAAH03-92-C-0118. This option will be awarded on a firm fixed price basis. The additional manyear of system integration Analyst support is necessary for the purpose of assisting the user in transition to new facilities. Additionally, support shall be provided to perform updates to the operating system software and ensure that it is maintained to the manufacturer's specifications. Nichols Research Corporation installed MSIC's HPSC under Contract DAAH01-92-C-0118 and continues to maintain it, as well as develop, modify and install software for it. Nichols Research Corporation is the only source of immediate expertise for these support actions and is also knowledgeable enough of MSIC's HPSC and LAN to be able to perform the required software modifications and transition. No solicitation will be issued. Nichols Research Corporation shall be requested to submit a proposal to perform the above effort and a modification to the current contract shall be issued.
