COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF SEPTEMBER 21,1999 PSA#2436AFCEA FALL '99 INTELLIGENCE SYMPOSIUM On October 27-28, 1999, AFCEA
International will host its annual Fall Intelligence Symposium at the
Defense Intelligence Analysis Center, Bolling AFB, Washington, D.C.
This year's theme is "Commercial Support to Intelligence: Current
Posture and Future." A detailed agenda, an "Exhibitor Gallery,"
featuring the current list of companies who will be exhibiting, and

"Events" and then "Fall Intel). If you prefer, call (703) 631-6250 for
registration material. Attendees must be U.S. citizens and have a Top
Secret SI/TK clearance. SYMPOSIUM OVERVIEW: In concert -- and often in
conflict -- with the information explosion in the Intelligence
Community (IC) is the trend toward downsizing throughout the Federal
Government. Increasing attention is being focused on ways to augment
the IC to help it accomplish its mission. Many are asking questions
about the interface between the IC and the private sector. The AFCEA
Fall '99 Intelligence Symposium has been designed by the government and
industry members of the AFCEA Intelligence Committee to explore these
questions and more. In the first session, executive and legislative
leaders will provide their views on the state of the IC, particularly
from the perspective of public/private cooperation. The second session
will focus on future requirements of the National Security Agency and
the National Imagery and Mapping Agency. In the third session, senior
private sector leaders will discuss what Industry is and can bring to
the Intelligence mix. In the fourth session, the focus will shift to
two more agencies -- the National Reconnaissance Office and the Defense
Intelligence Agency. The final session will attempt to peer into the
future and look at the longer-term opportunities for
Government/Industry teaming. In addition, over 30 vendors will showcase
the latest in intelligence-related technology. Whether you are an
Intelligence Professional in the Military, Government or Industry, this
symposium willhelp you know where your profession is headed. You must
be a U.S. citizen to attend and currently cleared for Top Secret SI/TK.
