The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is planning to issue a solicitation, very shortly, for a committed-use national contract covering Clozapine. In order to meet our goal of creating a contract that meets VA's patient care needs and is representative of commercial practices, we are requesting manufacturers of Clozapine meet with members of VA's Pharmacy Benefits Management Strategic Healthgroup (PBM) to discuss the procurement. Specifically, the purpose of the meeting is to discuss how manufacturers/potential offerors can accommodate the intricate reporting and data collection requirements as mandated by the Food & Drug Administration and other regulatory bodies. VA would like to schedule meetings with interested firms on October 13, 1999. Once a meeting has been confirmed, VA will provide a copy of the Clozapine Registery Data Requirements. Please note that the meetings will be one-on-one.
