synopsis/solicitaiton for a commercial item prepared in accordance with
the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the
only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written
solicitation will not be issued. This is full and open competition. SIC
Code: 3585. Size standard 750 employees. It is the government's intent
to issue a firm-fixed price order. The solicitation document and
incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through 97-13.
The contractor shall comply with the following requirements: Provide
TWO each, heatless, dual tower, regenerative type compressed air
dryers, fully automatic, complete with desiccant charge and nema 1
electrical enclosure with 1 threaded inlet and outlet air conditions.
Design conditions are as follows: Design conditions are as follows; 280
inlet SCFM @ 100 PSIG, 238 Outlet SCFM @ 100 PSIG, Dewpoint at outlet
-40 Deg. F., Maximum inlet air pressure150 PSIG, Minimum inlet air
pressure 75 PSIG. Functional specifications that must be met or
exceeded: Auto. Repressurization to avoid pressure surges and attrition
of desiccant bed, Upward flow with low velocity through the desiccant
bed, Purge in downward flow, Fully automatic control in NEMA 1
enclosure -- 1/60/115V., Pressure gauge and relief valve on each tower,
Purge muffler with relief valve, Purge pressure gauge indicating
reactivation flow rate, with adj. Purge valve, On-off selector switch
and on indicator light, Separate desiccant fill and drain ports,
Left/Right tower drying indicator lights, Particulate control air line
filter with moisture indicator, Switching valves, Removable inlet and
outlet stainless steel screens, High humidity alarm, Failure to shift
alarm., Remote alarm contacts for 6 points. FOB: Destination. The
following clauses/provisions are applicable to this acquisition: (a)
FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors Commercial, (b) FAR 52.212-2,
Evaluation-Commercial Items, where the technical capability of offered
item shall be used to evaluate the offer. (d) FAR 52.212-4, Contract
Terms and Conditions Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition; and
FAR 52.212-5, or Executive Orders Commercial Items, applies to this
acquisition. The following clauses under paragraph (b) are applicable:
