The Marine Corps Air Station, intends to solicit and negotiate for a sole source contract with Wulfsberg Electronics Division, Prescott AZ to supply 3 each, Wulfsberg RT5000 Flexcomm II AM/FM Transceivers and associated peripheral items for installation in Navy/Marine UH1N and HH1N Huey Helicopters. This procurement is for supplies that the Government intends to acquire from one source of supply under the authority of 41 USC 253(c)1. The intended systems must have air worthiness release issued by the Department of Defense. The Wulfsberg radios are the only known source to have such an air worthiness release issued. As the item is flight critical and the technical data available has not been determined adequate to support acquisition via full and open competition, only the source previously approved by the Government will be solicited.
