Files, Contracting Officer, 360-905-1781 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the subparts in Federal Acquisition Regulation 12.6 and Veterans Administration Acquisition Regulations as supplement with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 648-67-99 applies and is issued as a request for quotation. This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-13. The Standard Industrial classification Code is 7389 and the business size standard is $5 million. Provide the Portland, VA Medical Center, 3710 SW US Vets Hospital Road, Portland, Oregon 97201 with 2 each, reverse osmosis pumps, The RO units must have 5-10K (FDA Approval) Certification, and produced 18,0000 gallons of product water per day. The feed water temperature will be less than 77 degrees fahrenheit, the pump size must be atleast a 7.5 horsepower multi stage all stainless. The R/O control Panel high membrane diff PDI, high permeate PSI, High permeate conductivity, high prefilter diff PSI. The ultra violet sterilizer sizes to handle 15 GPM. Activiated carbon sized to handle 15 GPM. R/O unit manufacturer must have authorized local service personnel available 365 days per year to allow for 8 hour response time during warranty period. Warranty must be from one year of clinical installation. FOB Destination, associated remodeling is required therefore the VA may delay shipment up to 6 mos. from award at no additional cost. The government intends to make a single award to the responsible offeror whose offer is the most advantageous to the government considering price and price related factors. Award will be made on the basis of the lowest evaluated price of quotes meeting or exceeding the acceptability standards for non-cost (technical) items.
