ATM TEST EQUIPMENT The Department of Navy information technology architectures evolve around asynchronous transfer mode (ATM). ATM technologies converge voice, video, and data. The ATM equipment shall perform detailed tests that measure performance, standard conformance, and quality of service. The listed equipment; hardware/ software enables the Technical Support Team to access, evaluate, analyze and test the latest ATM networking technology releases. EQUIPMENT SHALL CONTAIN: a. Modular chassis with up to 16 slots; 4 slot minimum b. Ethernet 10baseT remote control access c. Windows NT Based Controller Software d. 622MBps (OC-12) and 155MBps (OC-3) generation & analysis e. ATM Cell generation capabilities -- AAL0, AAL1, AAL2, AAL3/4, AAL5 f. Able to generate up to 7 independent streams of mixed Constant Bit Rate (CBR) & Variable Bit Rate (VBR) cell traffic per port g.
