AND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR DOD ACQUISITION CATEGORY I AAAV WEAPON SYSTEM

Corps Systems Command intends to award a small purchase order to
Pollution Prevention Planning, Inc. of Stafford, VA to provide analyses
and recommendations on Environmental, System Safety and Health Hazards
(ESH) issues for the Marine Corps Advanced Amphibious Assault Vehicle
(AAAV) Program. The Contractor shall provide expert advisory and
assistance services to the Marine Corps Office of the Direct Reporting
Program Manager -- Advanced Amphibious Assault (DRPM AAA) for DoD
Acquisition Category (ACAT) I AAAV vehicle weapon system pollution
prevention. The AAAV amphibious vehicle is currently being designed and
developed under the AAAV Program Definition and Risk Reduction Contract
M67854-96-C-0038 with General Dynamics Amphibious Systems. Tasks
include: reviewing and advising on ESH programmatic documents,
reviewing and advising on NEPA documentation, participating in ESH
Working Group, IPT and technical issue briefings and providing
assessments with recommendations on Program implementation of DoD
Regulation 5000.2-R and SECNAVINST 5000.2 requirements and ESH-related
