This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial item prepared in accordance with FAR part 12.6, as noted with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.100% Small-Business Set- Aside. Standard industry code is 1752 size $7.0M. The solicitation notice and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97.8. The 11th Contracting Squadron intends to procure non-personal services necessary for the installation of variant floor. A site visit is set for 14 Sept 1999 at 1000AM. All responses must be received by 20 Sept 1999, 1000AM. Response shall provide an estimate start and completiondate. Contractor_s request SHALL include name, address, phone, cage code, DUNNS number, business size/type (i.e. small business-women owed, minority owned etc). Magnitude of work: Between $25,000 and $100, 000. Description of Services: The contractor shall provide all personnel, tools, equipment, materials, transportation, supervision, and all other items and services necessary to resurface approximately 5,400 square feet of concrete with Rohalith Variant Non-skid floor coating system. Services to be performed at Bldg 5, Base Fire Station in accordance with these specifications. The contractor shall measure for exact square footage. The following short work description shall serve as general information only, and shall not limit the contractor_s responsibility or obligation to conform to all state, local laws and in accordance with manufacturer_s recommendations. Contractor shall: -- Measure work area for accurate footage, -- Prepare concrete floor by shot blast and grinding to prepare surface per manufacturer_s specifications, -- Prime surface with ROHALITH #112 Primer/Sealer, -- Repair spalled and cracked concrete with Rohalith Industrial Quick Patch, -- Install seamless Acrylic resin based floor, Rohalith variant color flake floor. Color flakes shall be black and gray, -- Install two topcoats of ROHALITH #112 Primer/Sealer or #6869 Clear Sealer -- Sand between coats for desired smoothness, -- Install Roahalith #171 Flexable Joint Filler at existing joints in concrete. All hazardous materials necessary to complete this requirement shall be approved by the Base Hazmat Pharmacy prior to entry on the base.
