Natural Resources Conservation Service in Kentucky is seeking sources
for tree seedlings. The trees are as follows: 13,000 Cypress; 9,100
Shumard Oak; 6,700 Swamp Chestnut Oak; 2,000 Swamp White Oak. Seedlings
must meet the following specifications: All plants funished shall be
true to name and no substitution of species will be permitted; All
plants must have well-developed root systems; All plants shall be free
of insects, disease, and mechanical injury; All plants must be
suitable in every way for field planting; All trees shall be dormant
when collected; All plants shall be seedlings that have been grown in
a nursery for at least one year; All plants shall have a minimum height
of 18 inches and a maximum height of 48 inches; All plants shall have
a diameter at the root collar of at least one-quarter inch; All plants
shall have roots at least 5" in length; All plants shall be obtained
from plant hardiness Zone 6 and/or 7. Prospective vendors should
