RANDALL.PICKWELL@ssa.gov. The Social Security Administration is seeking
industry sources that provide: 1) print management software/hardware
products capable of routing and queuing print traffic from a WANG VS
host processor to local and remote NT controlled Local Area Networks,
and, 2) Installation/ integration support services for these products.
The products must be capable of all the following tasks in an
enterprise-wide environment: a) redirecting print jobs to any printer
defined to the LAN or WAN, b) checking job and printer status, c)
displaying jobs, d) canceling jobs, e) re-queuing jobs, f) utilizing a
Graphical User Interface that permits administrative personnel to view
and control print output from their workstations, g) creating and
storing forms and fonts, and placing the host print data stream on the
forms as required, h) generating the assembled output in PCL 5 format
for printing in the LAN environment, i) producing and maintaining all
required forms to include data placement within each form as defined
by each of SSA's state business partners, and, j) be compatible with
disability case processing software that is in use by SSA's state
business partners. The installation/ integration support services for
these products must include: a) installation, integration, and
licensing of software and hardware, including necessary future
upgrades, at SSA's state partner's locations, b) systems configurations
as necessary to meet the requirements of SSA's state business partners,
c) technical support at the state locations during core state operating
hours between 7:00 A.M. and 5:00 PM, 5 days per week, and, d) training
for all required staff members who will administer the print
management platform provided by the vendor. Vendors are invited to
submit information detailing relevant technical experience, customer
references, geographic area service coverage, competency of technical
personnel, project management capabilities, technical training and
certification programs, and any other relevant descriptive literature.
This isnot a request for proposal and the Government will not pay for
any information received in response to this notice. All responses
must clearly demonstrate the vendor's ability to provide the software
and services as described. No cost or pricing data is requested or
required. Respondents will not be notified of the results of any
internal Government evaluation of data received. Interested parties
must submit appropriate data in duplicate within 15 days of the date of
