Information. The USCGC MUNRO is seeking qualified sources that can
provide information pertaining to a shipboard Interior Communications
Digital Control System. The system shall consist of a PC Based (Windows
Operating System) Central Control Unit (CCU) that is used to accept,
process and output information from the following existing sources:
minimum of 50 inputs from alarm systems via normally open isolated
contacts, minimum of 180 inputs from an addressable Fire and Smoke
Alarm system, minimum of 35 inputs from camera of a Closed Circuit
Television System. The CCU shall also be interfaced with the following
existing systems: Digital Private Automatic Branch Exchange (DPABX)
telephone system, General Announcing system consisting of a minimum of
100 seventy volt (70V) speakers. An UHF radio base station and six (6)
programmable portable hand held radios shall be furnished to interface
with the DPABX telephone system and the General announcing system. The
following information is requested as part of our market research in
determining if there is a commercial item available in the market place
that will meet the Government's need. Therefore, interested parties
having the capabilities and expertise required are invited to submit
completed detailed information discussing their capabilities in
duplicate within fifteen days of this announcement. This is not a
Request for Proposal (RFP). The Government does not intend to pay for
the information solicited. Response must be concise and be specifically
directed to the requirement mentioned above. Organizations that respond
to the notice must fully demonstrate their capabilities to meet the
requirements and provide adequate detailed daa to be evaluated. Send
